Knitmoss is a project that was part of a knitwear intensive summer course at Central Saint Martins. The course lasted three weeks. The first week I learned the basics of machine knitting. The second week I began to research to find a concept to inspire my project. At the same time, I worked on experimenting with different yarns and techniques. Finally, the third week I dedicated myself entirely to the production of my designs. The moss I saw on the sidewalks every day on my way to school inspired the design process. I took some photographs, which served as a base to explore silhouettes and textures. During this three weeks not only did I learn to knit, but I found a new passion. I’ve realized the possibilities are endless. I also realized that knitting combines two of my favorite things: math and fashion.
